Memorial Hospital
Memorial Hospital is a 425-bed acute care hospital offering a breadth of services. Recent additions to the main campus include the state-of-the-art patient tower and the first accredited Chest Pain Center in Northeast Florida. Additionally, the Southside Cancer Center offers oncology services and the Memorial Spine Clinic treats acute and chronic spinal pain, injury and malformations.
Memorial opened a new 72-bed patient tower in 2009 to meet the growing health needs of residents in Northeast Florida. The new Patient Tower offers 72 private patient rooms, a new entrance, waiting areas and reception area.

The Heart Center renovation and expansion was completed in early 2009. This new wing includes a new cath lab, a new EP lab with state-of-the-art 3D mapping software and 24 pre/post OP procedure rooms.
Recent awards and accolades include the prestigious Bariatric Center of Excellence designation by the American Society for Bariatric Surgery, Healthgrades 5-Star rating in Clinical Excellence for Bariatric Surgery and the Blue Distinction Centers for Bariatric Surgery designation by Blue Cross and Blue Shield.
Memorial Hospital has also earned the Gold Seal of Approval from The Joint Commission for Primary Stroke Centers. Memorial earned this distinction after the Joint Commission conducted an unannounced on-site review. Memorial is the only hospital on Jacksonvilles southside with such a designation.
Memorial also received the American Stroke Associations Get With The GuidelinesSM Stroke (GWTGStroke) Bronze Performance Achievement Award. The award recognizes Memorial Hospitals commitment and success in implementing a higher standard of stroke care by ensuring that stroke patients receive treatment according to nationally accepted standards and recommendations. Memorial Hospital is also fully accredited by the Joint Commission of Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO.)
